Meet the friendly staff at Scott Nachbar, Veterinarian!

Scott G. Nachbar DVM

Born and raised in Springville, Dr. Nachbar completed high school at Griffith Institute in 1983. He graduated from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University in 1987 and from Cornell University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. He is continually renewed by the practice of medicine among the several species.

Scott L. Tyczka DVM

Raised in West Seneca, Dr. Tyczka finished high school in 1982 at West Seneca East Sr. High. He graduated from Canisius College in 1986 and then from Cornell University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. He performed a post graduate internship at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Justine Gugino DVM

Dr. Gugino was raised in Eden and completed high school at Eden Central School District. She is a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. She has a strong interest in wellness and internal medicine. Dr. Gugino is certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy from the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre in Central Ontario and offers pet chiropractic services.

Rylan Kota, Hospital Manager

Rylan started her schooling with pre-veterinary courses at SUNY Binghamton and graduated with a Bachelors in Science of Zoology from S.U.N.Y. Oswego. Her deep passion for animals fuels her commitment to providing exceptional care and support within the clinic. Rylan thrives on creating meaningful connections with clients, valuing the opportunity to hear their stories and collaborate in the care of their beloved pets. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys immersing herself in reading and exploring creative pursuits through crafting. At home she has two affectionate cats, JuneBug and HoneyBee. She also has three playful ferrets (Sami, Bear, and Mink) and her beloved horse, Lanie.

Kelly Enser, LVT

Kelly is a licensed veterinary technician who graduated from S.U.N.Y Alfred with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology. She is passionate about all aspects of her work, bringing dedication and care to every patient she assists. Outside of the clinic, Kelly enjoys spending time with her children, hiking, and exploring nature. She manages a hobby farm where she cares for horses Pecos and Yanfei, numerous sheep, and a variety of pets including dogs Zura and Shy-Shy, as well as cats Bean, Fuzzy, Stash, Jade, Jingle, Molly, Scooter, Lynx, and Zelda.

Erica Spier, LVT

Erica is a licensed veterinary technician who graduated from S.U.N.Y Alfred with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology and with a Minor in Agriculture Technology. She has a special fondness for Blue Heelers. In the clinic, she especially enjoys working with surgeries and working closely with patients during primary care appointments. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors riding four-wheelers and snowmobiles, camping, and being with her family. At home, she shares her life with two energetic Blue Heelers, Kimber and Scooby.

Kaylyn Sheehan, LVT

Kaylyn graduated with an AAS degree in Veterinary Technology from Genesee Community College and is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to every animal she meets. A lifelong animal lover, she has a special fondness for Golden Retrievers. Her favorite part of working in the veterinary field is interacting with a wide variety of animals and helping them to the best of her ability. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family and pets. At home, she shares her life with two cherished cats, Merlin and Haizley.

Abi Stone, Assistant

Abi attended SUNY Oswego, where she pursued undergraduate studies with an interest in Zoology. She has a special admiration for wolf dogs, drawn to their unique blend of wild beauty and loyalty. Outside of work, she enjoys expressing her creativity through drawing and singing, and she maintains an active lifestyle by working out regularly. At the clinic, her favorite responsibilities include assisting with surgical preparation and sharing affectionate moments with the animals – especially when they offer sweet kisses. At home, she is the proud owner of Blue, a gentle giant Great Dane who brings joy to her everyday life.

Kaela Finch, Assistant

Kaela has a background in Animal Science from BOCES. She has a special love for Boxers and enjoys every opportunity to meet new dogs and, of course, snuggle puppies. Outside of work, Kaela leads an adventurous life—she enjoys riding her motorcycle, attending Buffalo Bills games (Go Bills!), hunting, and cherishing time with her son. Her home is filled with a variety of beloved pets, including her dogs Oakley and Kimber, a chinchilla named Luna, and a hedgehog named Fudge.

Danielle Bartz, Client Service Representative

Dani holds an AAHA Certificate in Veterinary Office Management and an Equine Management Certificate from the College of Lake County, combining strong administrative expertise with a passion for animal care. She has a particular fondness for Labrador Retrievers, Rottweilers, Dobermans, and Golden Retrievers. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor adventures like four-wheeling, hiking, and camping, as well as training dogs—a skill she brings into the clinic by educating clients on puppy care and behavior. At home, she shares her life with her cat, Tuffy, and two beloved dogs, Tucker and Bailee.

Stacy Barkley, Client Service Representative

With over a decade of hands-on experience in the veterinary field, Stacy brings both expertise and genuine compassion to our hospital. Her heart has a soft spot for Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs which she lovingly breeds. When she’s not at the clinic, you can find her enjoying the peaceful life on her hobby farm, where she shares her days with two horses, two donkeys, a few playful goats, and her beloved family. She treasures the connections she builds with clients and finds great joy in meeting their furry companions. At home, she’s surrounded by love, living with her husband, three wonderful daughters, and her cherished grandson.

Courtney Keem, Intern

Courtney is currently pursuing a degree in Veterinary Technology at Alfred State University, entering her second semester this fall. She has a particular passion for large animals, with her favorite being Ferdinand, her steer. Courtney enjoys showing beef cattle and takes great interest in learning about the wide variety of cases that come through the hospital. Her favorite part of the job is encountering new and unique patient challenges and expanding her knowledge on how to best care for them. At home, she cares for two beef steers and two goats named Chocolate and Pumpkin.
